over one of the hurtles
i ended up slimming down the 6point wrench (more than i had done before) and it fit pretty good, and to achieve perfect fit i did one more run to the grinder to slim it down even more. i really didn’t think that it would be able to take the torque with so much of the wrench missing but it did and i was able to get all the nuts off the connecting rods studs.

removed the alternator, intake and exhaust manifolds,carbs, and the cam and head.
once we started ripping apart the engine it started to become diffucult to take pictures. thats why theres such a big gap between the pictures
cold!!!
today i was feeling pretty ambitious and put the engine stand together (which was missing a piece) in the icy conditions and then tryed to mount up the engine, but i had to take off the transmission first…once i did that i then had to take the clutch off and now im stuck on trying to take off the flywheel before i mount up the engine to the stand.

the stand finally came in today planning on putting it together after school will update with photos later…

in need of an engine stand

preparing for motor pull
this day i was able to get kyle to help me finish off the engine puller and we took the front grill assembly and the bumper off to make the engine pull smoother. as seen in photos car is jacked up and ready to begin to be pulled

starting a log
I have not really been on top of the whole concept of a log so now I’m am working to catch up on what is going on. but basically to sum up whats going to take place over this year is rebuilding a 1962 Austin Healey engine and port and polish the head. depending on how diligent i am i might try to do some body restoration also.
